Following up on our promise last week, we have even more great news about Skinopathy Wounds!
Skinopathy Wounds was put through a rigorous 12-month product evaluation at peopleCare Communities, one of Ontario’s leading long-term care operators, and the results are in. The findings show that the platform consistently performed beyond what is typically seen in wound care, both clinically and operationally, reinforcing what frontline teams have been telling us since day one.
The product evaluation, which was funded by OBIO’s Life Sciences Critical Technologies and Commercialization (LSCTC) Centre of Excellence, delivered some genuinely eye opening results around accuracy, documentation quality, workflow efficiency, and early identification of difficult to heal wounds.
This work would not have been possible without outstanding partners.
A big thank you to the OBIO team, especially Bibaswan Ghoshal and Yuvenne Deng, for backing Ontario-built innovation and creating the conditions for real clinical evaluation.
And of course, we cannot help but recognize the visionaries at peopleCare who saw the opportunity. So, to jennifer killing, Wendy Filiatrault, Salima Massani, Megan Allen-Lamb, and the extraordinary charge nurse who did much of the heavy lifting, Mazhar M.: We send you a big thank you for supporting Skinopathy.
Next, our goal is to work with Ontario Minister of Long-Term Care, Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Parliamentary Assistant of Long-Term Care, MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy and the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care | Ministère des Soins de longue durée de l’Ontario to see how we might help even more LTCs across Ontario
